About Us
Today, insurance companies face an ever-increasing range of risks in a claims environment where predictability is transient. Insurers are pushed more than ever to reduce risks, control claim expense and/or recover assets. They also must provide exceptional service to, and maintain relationships of mutual trust and respect with their insured clientele. At Goehring Rutter & Boehm we recognize that resolving claims and disputes in a predictable fashion and within accepted claims costing is a value added proposition for the insurance industry.

The Litigation Group at GRB specializes in defending insureds with a focus on achieving results. Our lawyers are recognized for their experience and knowledge in managing insured risks through the desired dispute resolution process: mediation; arbitration; or trial.

The attorneys of the Litigation Group operate in the forefront of insurance dispute resolution. We use innovative methods to manage risk and resolve claims. We try cases in every county in western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Insured risks include personal injury, property and casualty, ELL and EPLI claims, and completed operations. We focus on your insureds’ interests and deliver resolution strategies that keep your clients happy, your underwriters in business, and your claim expense budgets on target.

In addition, we also represent carriers. We excel in analyzing coverage obligations for first-party claims minimizing the risk of occurrence and trigger of coverage issues. We proactively manage bad faith claims. We interpret deductibles and self-insured retentions, defend in a variety of insurance coverage settings, litigate third-party subrogation and we navigate specialty coverage issues.
