About Us

Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin is a leading civil defense litigation law firm that represents and advises insurers, self-insured entities, and professionals in a wide range of professional liability, casualty, health law, employment, and workers' compensation matters. With more than 470 attorneys in some 30 distinct practice groups, located in 20 offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, Florida and New York, Marshall Dennehey is uniquely positioned to assist their clients in both avoiding damaging litigation as well as providing them with a vigorous defense in the event of claims and suits made against them.

Scranton, Pennsylvania is one of Northeastern Pennsylvania's oldest and largest cities. It was built on the hard work of miners, laborers and industrialists who developed the country's first railroads, iron and hard coal supplies.

We opened our first office in the Scranton area in 1992. Since that time, the office has grown to the point where it is one of the largest defense firms in this area of the state. Characteristic of the composition of all of our regional offices, the professional staff members of our Scranton office are either native to this area of the state or are long-time residents.

The level of trial experience of our professional staff, especially within the ranks of our shareholders, is quite high across the broad spectrum of property, casualty, professional liability and workers' compensation litigation.

Our Scranton office, like all of the firm's regional offices, combines the advantages of the personal attention of a medium-size firm with the advantages that come from the intellectual property and broad-based experience of a large firm. The office is linked to the rest of the firm with a state-of-the-art computer communications system.

As can be seen from the rapid growth of this office, Marshall Dennehey continues to broaden the commitment made to its clients in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We are dedicated to serving the defense needs of our valued clients by providing quality legal services "tailored" to meet their needs and expectations.

We are pleased to service our clients in the counties of Bradford, Columbia, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montour, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne and Wyoming.
