About Us

Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin is a leading civil defense litigation law firm that represents and advises insurers, self-insured entities, and professionals in a wide range of professional liability, casualty, health law, employment, and workers' compensation matters. With more than 470 attorneys in some 30 distinct practice groups, located in 20 offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Ohio, Florida and New York, Marshall Dennehey is uniquely positioned to assist their clients in both avoiding damaging litigation as well as providing them with a vigorous defense in the event of claims and suits made against them.

With its office located on Cleveland's historic Public Square, overlooking Lake Erie, Marshall Dennehey and the firm's Ohio lawyers represent insurance carriers and other clients throughout the state of Ohio. The Cleveland office handles cases in both state and federal courts in the majority of counties and all major cities in Ohio. Through the taking and defending of depositions, a vigorous motion practice, and trying cases to verdict, our lawyers take seriously the interests of clients and customers in the practical and efficient resolution of claims within budget and pursuant to agreed-upon plans.

Our trial practice has produced numerous defense verdicts and verdicts below the last offer before trial. Our retail liability and premises liability practices have produced numerous summary judgment victories, many of which have been upheld by the various courts of appeal. Our lawyers also take advantage of strategically planned and appropriately selected cases to mediate and settle without incurring unnecessary cost and expense to our clients.

Cleveland serves as the base for our Ohio practice — a city with historic neighborhoods, world-class medical centers, an emerging technology sector, and premier colleges and universities. Cleveland provides a comfortable home for our statewide practice.

The attorneys are committed to providing quality and efficient legal work. The Cleveland office looks forward to serving existing clients of the firm, as well as new clients.
