The firm was established in 1955 as Kerr, Conn & Davis and in 1972, Robert S. Kerr, Jr., Francis S. Irvine and Horace G. Rhodes joined together to create the present firm. In 1985, J. Angela Ables, former Deputy Insurance Commissioner, joined the firm. In 1989 the name was changed to Kerr, Irvine, Rhodes & Ables. The firm consists of three partners. All aspects of insurance law are provided by the firm including administrative, regulatory, defense, policy review and reinsurance contract services. Insurance coverage issues are handled by J. Angela Ables and insurance litigation issues are handled by Angela Ables and Johnny Blassingame. James W. Rhodes is the Executive Director of the Oklahoma and Colorado Life and Health Guaranty Associations (in Colorado the Colorado Life and Health Insurance Protection Association).
