Dan Finn, CPCU, MSSC, RICP®

As a member of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society, Dan served on its Claims, Reinsurance and Risk Management Committees frequently participating as a speaker for CPCU national and regional symposia. A Claims Litigation Management (CLM) Fellow and member of the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators (SITE), he has conducted educational seminars for the Insurance Education Association and for lawyers which have been approved by the State Bar of California for Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Credit. A former public schoolteacher and basketball coach, he graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education.

In cooperation with the University of Notre Dame, the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) conferred upon Dan its Master's Certificate in Structured Settlement Consulting (MSSC) designation following completion of a prescribed course of study, experience requirements, and completion of a peer-reviewed research paper, making him one of the first in the nation to earn this designation. His NSSTA peers elected him to its Board of Directors in 2009. In 2010, the Board unanimously elected him President for the 2011-2012 term. A believer in lifelong education, he also studied cash flow analysis, employee benefits, income taxation, and retirement/estate planning at the University of California, Irvine. In 2014, he earned his Retirement Income Certified Professional® designation from The American College of Financial Services.
