About Us

Operating from strategic locations around the country, Stutman Law is organized around the recovery of major insurance losses wherever they occur. The firm has represented numerous insurance companies coast to coast on major losses throughout the United States. Since the firm was founded in 1995, Stutman Law's mission has always been to handle subrogation cases aggressively, creatively, and innovatively in order to get optimal results for our clients as promptly as possible. We develop specific programs for clients and cater to our clients' everyday needs. Since our firm only handles subrogation, our process, people, and results are not only the best in the industry, but are the "best fit" for our clients.

New Loss Department

Being a subrogation-only firm has allowed us to develop the best new loss process and procedures in the industry. In 1998 we pioneered the concept of a "New Loss Department". It is comprised of a team of attorneys, paralegals, administrative support personnel and our own in-house investigators, all of whom have one job: to ensure that a good claim can become a recoverable claim. Out New Loss Team is focused on rapid mobilization the minute a loss is reported. We realize that losses happen at all hours of the day, including on weekends and holidays. That is why our on-call staff is available and ready to handle your loss 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Large Property Losses

As the largest subrogation-only firm in the United States, Stutman Law offers a team of attorneys, staff and experts who focus their practice on nothing other than major commercial losses. Stutman Law has been involved in some of the nation's largest property losses, including major wildfires, industrial disasters and large apartment complex fires. We are not afraid to "take on" the biggest manufacturers in the world. In fact, we have not only taken these manufacturers to trial, but in one instance we sued an entire industry under a "concert-of-action" theory. We have handled more than 1,000 losses in which our client's damages exceeded $1,000,000 and more than 100 losses over $50,000,000. You need that depth of experience on your side.

Small Property Losses

Our Small Loss team manages a large volume of smaller dollar claims, always focusing on rapidly responding to losses as they occur. By addressing small losses while they are fresh, our attorneys, paralegals and support staff are able to quickly identify potential tortfeasors and determine the most promising and cost effective avenues of recovery. Upon assignment of a new loss, our Small Loss Team works to quickly preserve evidence before releasing the loss scene for mitigation. The Team is proficient at balancing investigatory needs with cost control measures and works to obtain fast, favorable results for clients.

Mass Torts

Stutman Law is the undisputed leader in the industry when it comes to mass tort subrogation programs and litigations. The firm has handled both catastrophic mass tort actions, such as wildfires, and mass torts involving the aggregation of hundreds and thousands of product liability claims. No firm in the United States has more experience in this area.
