About Us

STEED DUNNILL REYNOLDS BAILEY STEPHENSON LLP originated in 1990 as the Law Office of Joel J. Steed. Since then, the firm has expanded into its current structure with three offices in Texas and personnel of approximately 50.

As the firm grew to meet increasing client needs, other reputable attorneys who share the firm's philosophy were added to the team. Our personnel believe this is more than a job, more than a profession, it is a calling! A calling to minster to those in need who have dedicated their lives to caring for others in need. Many of our attorneys have worked together for more than 25 years and have well over 150 years of combined experience in trying lawsuits and handling Board matters throughout the State of Texas. We also have a few select attorneys on our team who are licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma.

The firm routinely handles multi-million dollar lawsuits involving catastrophic personal injury or death and have tried cases in both State and Federal Courts with an outstanding success rate. While Healthcare Liability Defense work makes up approximately 90% of the firm's dockets, the remaining 10% is related to various other types of Tort or General Litigation matters.

The firm has tried more than 150 cases over the past 27 years in numerous counties in Texas, including several landmark cases in the Health Care Liability Defense field.
