About Us

Landrum & Shouse is recognized as the most prolific law firm for 2018 by the Kentucky Trial Verdict Reporter and has received a Tier 1 ranking for the state of Kentucky by Best Lawyer U.S. News - "Best Law Firms 2018-2019."

Landrum & Shouse, LLP is one of the largest law firms in Central Kentucky and has been reported as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News and World Report with offices in both Lexington and Louisville. The firm traces its history from pre-World War II legal service by its founding partners. For nearly 40 years following military service, the late Weldon Shouse and the late Charles Landrum, Jr., together with their firms, practiced law throughout Kentucky before merging in 1984 to become what is now known as Landrum & Shouse, LLP. The resulting firm was built upon the well-deserved reputations of its founders as experienced, knowledgeable and hard-working Lexington civil litigation lawyers.

Landrum and Shouse LLP has 12 attorneys who have been named Best Lawyers in America.

Additionally, 12 attorneys have been recognized as Kentucky Super Lawyers® and 1 attorney recognized as Kentucky Rising Stars® for 2018 by Kentucky Super Lawyers. Notable recognition goes to L&S’s very own, Pierce W. Hamblin who has been named as a Top 50 Kentucky Super Lawyer® for Mediation and recently received the Distinguished Lawyer of the year award by the KBA and Leslie P. Vose who is recognized as a Top 25 Kentucky Super Lawyer® for Employment and Labor Law.

Furthermore, 17 of our attorneys maintain an "AV" Preeminent rating through Martindale Hubbell®.

The attorneys at Landrum & Shouse, LLP with offices in Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, are very competent and provide a wide range of civil litigation services to individuals, businesses, governmental agencies and organizations. As the fourth largest law firm in Kentucky, we have the resources, knowledge and experience to undertake even the most complex litigation.
Our legal practice focuses on litigation. As trial attorneys, we are especially sensitive to the high cost, in terms of both money and time, of courtroom battles.

Consequently, we seek to become involved in matters before they are scheduled for trial; this strategy often results in a matter being dismissed or referred to some type of alternative dispute resolution.

To speak with one of our civil litigation lawyers, please call us in Lexington at (859) 554-4038 or in Louisville at (502) 589-7616 for an appointment.

Services may be performed by other lawyers at our Lexington or Louisville offices.
